Hi Dr. Lam

I am a 29 year old male and always had thin hair like my mother. I however don't have bald patches as yet but definitely losing some hair at the front on the sides and want to fight it before it becomes problematic.

Please tell me what shampoo and conditioner I can use with confidence that will help reduce hair thinning or at least will not do any damage to my hair. What about scientia dermarollers, scientia laser comb? Will these products help? Any other service like laser treatments a dermatologist offers that can help thicken hair? I don't want to use propecia - too many risks involved in my opinion. Impotence possibilities etc. and that's why I really want to do something about it now to avoid products like propecia.

unfortunately, i really believe that hair products are not going to make a big difference. that is something you probably should ask your hair stylist. i am more a scientist than a stylist so i don't know any scientific rationale for various hair products. sorry about that.
