Hi Dr Lam,
I am an African American women and for several years now, I have a messed up hairline, caused by alopecia. I've been searching of the internet to find a solution to resolve this, and I think that my only rescue is to have a hair transplant. I tried all the hair products you can imagine but it wasn't that helpful.
My questions are:
1. I live in Canada...Do i have to be a US citizen to have a surgery by you?
2. The hairloss is all around my forehead, about 1 cm, I estimate it will probably be a stage 2, around how much it will cost me?
3. Since I live in Canada, do you recommand me to stay for a few days in Texas to remove the things that should be remove by you?
4. Will I have a scar in the area that you're going to take the hair out?

MOST OFTENTIMES THE MORE GRAFTS I PUT THE BETTER AND A STAGE 4 IS NOT MUCH MORE THAN A 2 OR A 3. I WILL MOST LIKELY GUESS THAT IT WOULD BE A STAGE 3 AS A MINIMUM. 3. Since I live in Canada, do you recommand me to stay for a few days in Texas to remove the things that should be remove by you? YOU CAN PROBABLY HAVE SOMEONE REMOVE YOUR SUTURES IN CANADA BECAUSE IT IS 10 DAYS AFTERWARD THAT YOU WOULD NEED TO HAVE THEM REMOVED. IF YOU TELL ME WHERE YOU LIVE, PERHAPS I COULD HAVE A COLLEAGUE HELP ME DO THAT.
4. Will I have a scar in the area that you're going to take the hair out?
YES, BUT THE GOAL IS TO MAKE IT VIRTUALLY INVISIBLE.
