Dear sir,
Can hair transplantation be done in patient with stable scalp psoriasis(with no itching).If so,what prophylatic medications to be used to prevent "Koebner reaction".

i think i answered this question somewhere else on this site. however, in short, i am always cautious to transplant active psoriasis to an area that does not have it for risk that i spread it. as far as koebner's reaction, i have not seen that during transplantation but i would ask a dermatologist about that risk.

If u detect dandruff mainly on the recepient on the day of surgery ,will u still proceed for surgery?
Which more problematic ,donor or recepient area dandruff?

really neither. dandruff should not contravene surgery.

can hair transplantation give results in stable alopecia areata?if so percentage of the same.

that is a difficult question because first what is stable? it has to be "burned out" and that definition is variable. many would argue 2 years down the road. the problem is that AA's can reactivate almost at any time. second, graft take is variable too. sometimes it takes well. sometimes less so. then you add the risk of reactivation and you compound it a bit more. so i wish i could give you a great answer. i can only give you an honest one.

yes, but you would need a medical clearance just saying that you are medically safe to have a procedure even though it is a "small" one. it should not interfere with my surgery but definitely just get cleared for surgery. that is something we would work with you on before the date of a procedure.
