Hi Dr. Lam.
I have lost most of my eyebrows and beard due to alopecia. While I am not concerned about the beard, I would like to restore my eyebrows. I saw your presentation on line where you mentioned starting the use of PRP and A-cell. Have you had a positive experience using the protocol? Additionally, what is the name of the placement tool that you spoke highly about in reference to eyebrow transplants.
I plan on seeing a dermatologist to get his ok for the procedure. I believe the only way they can approve the procedure is by conducting a biopsy ...which would leave a permanent scar.

the implanter is a Lion implanter. i have had miraculous success with using PRP and Acell with my hair transplants including eyebrows. however, if you have hair loss in the eyebrow, you are right. you must have a biopsy to make sure that the hair loss is not due to something like alopecia areata, in which case you would not be a good candidate for surgery. i would not worry about the scarring per se from the biopsy.
