Dr Lam's Hair Restoration Forum

I am a 38 yo female. I first went through chemo in 2004 and then again in 2009. My hair has not grown back very well at all (either time). You can see most of my scalp. HATE IT! My oncologist told me he has only seen 2 of his patients who have had my same therapy to not have good hair regrowth - I am one of those 2! Another doctor in his practice recommended Dr. Lam. I have tried different topicals and shampoos, etc with no success. What successful treatments can I look at now?

i wish i had a very good recommendation but i don't . i assume you have tried minoxidil which is not a perfect solution but it is a good thing to start if you have not. you might want to see Dr. David Whiting in Dallas for a scalp biopsy and eval just to make sure that there is not something else going on. if you are done with chemo and you have enough donor hair, i can do a transplant but i would have to evaluate you first to determine that possibility.
