Hi Doctor Lam, I have consulted with a reputable hair loss clinic. Other than Propecia, they have suggested I use a higher strength of Minoxidil than I currently use. They recommend I use their 8-10% strength minoxidil which contains some various forms of DHT blocker (Azelaic Acid, Medroxyprogesterone, Caffeine)
My question is, do you think that their topical minoxidil containing dht blockers will really be able to have a measurable effect on blocking dht locally in the scalp? Or is it really just the higher strength of minoxidil that will be doing the work? They charge around $1,000 for a years supply of their higher strength minoxidil containing dht blockers. Do you know of another reputable supplier of higher strength minoxidil that is not so expensive?
