If I have a forehead lift, they'll remove a strip of scalp, along with the hair. My hairline will be higher, of course. Is it possible to utilize this hair to lower and fill in the hairline either during or after surgery? How long is the hair viable after a strip of scalp is removed? My hair is much too thin for a hairline advancement with trichophytic closure, so some sort of hairline restoration will be necessary. It does seem like a waste of perfectly good hair to toss away that excised scalp.
